Dünən BMT Baş Assambleyasında Azərbaycanın təşəbbüsü ilə Avrasiya telekommunikasiya magistralının təkmilləşdirilməsinə həsr olunmuş tematik diskussiya keçirilib.

APA-nın BMT mətbuat xidmətinə istinadən yaydığı məlumata görə, iştirakçılar qarşısında çıxış edən Baş assambleyasının 67-ci sessiyasının sədri Vuk Yeremits inkişaf məqsədilə informasiya-kommunikasiya texnologiyalarından istifadənmi genişləndirməyə çağırıb.

O əlavə edib ki, Azərbaycan və qonşuları Şərqlə Qərb arasında kommunikasiya körpüsü qismində çıxış edərək qlobal informasiya məkanına inteqrasiya edə bilər.

Vuk Yeremits bildirib ki, inkişaf etmiş ölkələrdə bu gün hər beş ailədən birinin internetə çıxışı var. Hələ üç il əvvəl bu göstərici kasıb ölkələrdə 13 faizdən az olub.

İclasın yekunlarına görə, BMT Baş Assambleyası Azərbaycanın regional telekommunikasiya rabitə kanallarının genişləndirilməsinə dair Avrasiya İttifaqının yaradılması məsələsinin öyrənilməsi ilə bağlı Azərbaycanın təqdim etdiyi yeni qətnaməni qəbul edib.

Qətnamənin mətninin təqdim edən Azərbaycanın BMT yanında daimi nümayəndəsi Aqşin Mehdiyev bildirib ki, yaradılacaq bu kimi alyans informasiya və telekommunikasiya sahəsində transsərhəd əməkdaşlığının möhkəmləndirilməsi üçün regional platforma rolunu oynaya, bu sektorda tələbatlar və problemlərə effektiv reaksiya verməkdə hökumətlərə kömək edə, bu sahəyə özəl sektorun daha çox cəlb etməyə və və təcrübə mübadiləsi aparmağa töhfə verə bilər.
